Common Errors and Solutions
Here in this page, some common client errors and solutions are listed.
Client doesn't run
Does your client not run after pressing "START" on the patcher and/or running it directly from the installation folder? It might be because it cannot load any configs.
Open opensetup.exe, confirm your settings, make sure your Graphics API is set to DirectX 7.
Click Apply and OK to save your settings. Now your game should run.
Missing DLL errors
If you're experiencing missing dll errors, make sure you are using our latest client installer. You may have also some missing pre-requesite that needs to be installed.
Download and Install the Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes AIO Repack 1.103.0
The above fix may also fix an issue where client just crashes after launching.
Entry Point Not Found - dbghelp.dll
This commonly happens for users with AMD gpu. This can be solved by simply renaming your dbghelp.dll to dbghelp.dll.old
Cannot innit d3d OR grf file has problem.
This is a common error for clients with corrupted settings. Launch opensetup.exe from your installation folder and confirm your setttings. Make sure that your GPU appears on the setup screen.
This may also be a driver issue, please update your graphics driver.
After that, launch your game and try again.
Grapical Glitches / Black Screen
If you're experiencing some graphical glitches, it might be a problem or incompatibility with dgVoodoo. To disable dgVoodoo:
- Navigate to your Prontera-Realm installation folder
- Open dgVoodooCpl.exe
- Navigate to the DirectX tab
- Check the checkbox for Disable and passthru to real DirectX.
This will bypass dgVoodoo and use your system's own DirectX to run the game.
